Once you have decided you wish to undertake a Master of Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship, you need to complete the below application process.

Step 1: Application

New University of Auckland student: Complete the University of Auckland application. The University will send you an acknowledgement email with your student ID and ask you to present original copies of proof of identification and academic transcripts you may have.

Current or former University of Auckland student: You will not need to create a new number, you can use your original student ID number but you will need to submit any additional transcripts you may have gained since leaving the university.

Step 2: Supporting documentation

Upload supporting documentation to your University of Auckland application:

• CV. Please include name and contact details of at least one referee.
• Statement of Intent. To better assess your suitability, we need you to address the following in your application:
  1. Past entrepreneurial experience and/or involvement in innovation/research commercialisation
  2. What is your experience with teamwork?
  3. What would you hope to achieve with the MCE degree?

Step 3: Submit originals

If required, submit the following original documents to the AskAuckland Central, Ground Floor, Alfred Nathan House (Entrance past the General Library on Alfred Street), City Campus

• Photo ID
• Proof of citizenship or permanent residency
• An official degree certificate or academic transcript

Step 4: Application review

Once we have received your application and evaluated all the supporting documents, a decision will be made regarding whether to shortlist you.

If we shortlist you, you will be required to attend an interview.

After the interview, it will take four to six weeks to process your application. We suggest that you check your status online regularly to see if we require further information/documents.

Step 5: Notification

You will be notified of our decision and if made an offer you need to accept your offer by signing into the University of Auckland application.

Step 6: Enrol in your courses

Once you have accepted your offer, the final step is to enrol in your course at www.auckland.ac.nz/enrolment

Your orientation details will be sent to you. Welcome to the programme!
